Shoe Lifestyle in China

I have always been charmed with Chinese clothes and footwear. In fact, when I visited China last year, I took a short course in popular Chinese clothing and the so-called "shoe lifestyle". What was very amusing in that short program was the Chinese footwear. I learned that shoes and slippers are among the most amusing parts of the Chinese lifestyle. The lands "foot clothing" constitutes socks and shoes or slippers. For Chinese citizens, the two are acclaimed as the protective gears of their feet. One of their primary styles of footwear is the boots. After the boots genre, shoes in China grew to straw shoes, wooden shoes, cloth shoes, silk shoes, military shoes, and silk shoes. Today, the Chinese citizens also use the various footwear collections presented and exported by footwear companies around the globe.

On the other hand, I was also amused to know that footwear was also a style of etiquette for the Chinese citizens. The Chinese citizens observe proper footwear more in their everyday activities. Such mores include taking off of shoes or slippers before entering a house, removing of shoes during feasts, and the bare feet sanction at ceremonial worships. The short program I took was really amusing and very informative. It was the best relaxing activity I ever had during my vacation in China.
