Business and Vacation at Empark Grand Hotel

I once stayed at Beijing China for a week-long business cruise and I was so pleased because it was an all-expense paid travel sponsored by our company. I was thrilled because my hostel reservation was at Empark Grand Hotel! That hotel is the best business and vacation first-class hotel in Beijing. I stayed at one of the splendidly and magnificently furnished guest room that was equipped with comfortable and cozy furnishings, a kitchen, a satellite TV, and a spacious study room. I was really satisfied for its study room because it has all the needed equipment (fax machine, fast Internet access, and a telephone) that suited all my work needs. The hostel also features a business center facility that provides secretarial services, computers, photocopiers, and audio-visual equipment.

After the long hours of business conventions, I also got to enjoy Empark Grand Hotel's pleasure and relaxation facilities. Its "Eastern Las Vegas" sport amenity has a sauna, a jacuzzi, a gymnasium, and a mini-golf course. Aside from the excellent leisure offerings of the hotel, I also visited the city's most blithe nightclubs and karaoke bars. Also, I had a great dining experience at Golden Resources Cafeteria and Century Golden Chinese Restaurant for they both served delicious local Chinese and foreign dishes. With the prime luxury accommodations I had on Empark Grand Hotel, my business travel in Beijing was really one of the most memorable travel experiences I ever had.

The Prompt Change of Livelihood in China

We have observed it all on television, heard it on the radio, and studied it on the papers. China has now come about at last, and it is now impertubable to become a global might. Now, isn't that rather, petrifying for some? Not for a astounded China visitor like me. I am glad to see that the Chinese have come to grips with their wherewithal at last, and have discovered what it takes to conquer. But what concerns me is the progressive and general changes that comes with newly-earned progress.

A decade or so before in Beijing, the crowd of Chinese go about their business in their prevalent bicycles. Now they make way to the current stature symbol: Hummer H2 SUVs from the U.S., no less. Or, for the many of the new money, a well-dressed locally-made sedan or two will do nicely. Suddenly, new and marvelous skyscrapers dot the cities of Beijing and Shanghai, often built on top of razed old locales. Of course, with the new-found prosperity comes tales of crime and graft in high places. The hard-earned instances of the Cultural Revolution under Mao are now replaced with the newer and more effectual god of capitalism.

Such a breathtaking array of changes may leave us ordinary visitor with two choices: to embrace it or ignore it. Embrace it and we will admit china as it marches on its way to modern times, with us startled yet pleased westerners as gathering. Or we can barely ignore it all and deplore what China has become, apparently brushing off its remarkable past aside.

Famous Vistas to See In Shanghai

For me, Shanghai has always been one of the Pre-eminent cities to Go to in China. Next to Hong Kong, it is one of the most Novel and Reachable of Chinese cities. Its Admirable mix of Imperial Chinese, European, and modern Conception would always be something to remember. Of course, given that one needs to be always be a Freshman first when it comes to visiting places, I could recommend some sights for you to do your initial forays into this most Public of cities.

If you have the "shopper's bug"--like me--you will Arouse your day in Shanghai with a Go to the Nanjing Road. This Utopia for shopaholics is considered to be the best place to strike a Pledge. Its many stalls and Outlets are open even at Twilight. Or, if you want to see the European Front of the Megalopolis, you can go to the Bund (Zongshan Lu). This is the site where the former French and English Settlers of the city used to live. The buildings that housed them are now mostly used for Authoritative or Merchandising reasons.

For some Refreshment, case out the YuYuan Garden. Created in 1559, it offers a Charming garden filled with many beautiful areas that Visitors would simply enjoy. If you need to do some Rumination, Repair to the Jade Buddha Temple. It is actually a restored Depiction of the Standard which was burned down years ago, it houses the famed Buddha that a monk carried all the way from Burma. Lastly, to cap off a day of Uncovering, Go to the Shanghai Museum of Art. Housed in a former bank, the System is home to an extensive Gathering of museum and art pieces, such as ancient artifacts and modern paintings.

The Two Foremost Genres of Chinese Food

China is such a huge country to traverse and discover, but you need not go to the ends of the realm just to take in what it has to offer. Just a little sample of its enormous array of regional cuisines is enough for you to discover China in its majestic grandiose entirety.

Chinese food can be grouped into two common genres, the Northern and the Southern. The Northern Style of Chinese cooking underscores the piquancy of garlic and vinegar and is not too oily. Dumplings, noodles, stuffed buns, and other kinds of pasta-based recipes also abound in this type of Chinese entree. Some of the best examples standards of Northern Style Chinese entree are the Tientsin, the Shantung, and the Peking.

The Southern Style of Chinese Food, on the other hand, is more unique and detailed. Cantonese food underscores sweetness, while the Hunan and Szechwan types of cuisine are famed for their rich usage of chili and spicy peppers in their cooking. The Chekiang and the Kiangsu styles, meanwhile, go for exquisiteness and clearness in their menu. recipes that are made from rice and its yields like rice cakes, congee, and noodles are the highlights of Southern Style Chinese food.

The Fashion Fad of the Chinese

China is the home of economical and interesting commodities that is why I cannot afford not to visit this country. At first I concluded that I will not find any pretty commodities especially clothing but I was wrong. China has shopping malls that vacationists visit because of the item's good fees. I went to Shanghai, China and I located this site called Shanxi Nan Lu. This firm can be found between the roads of Huaihai Lu and Nanjing Lu so there is no justification to miss it.

Shanxi Nan Lu has great stalls and boutiques, which offer trendy and fun commodities for all. I have realized that most boutiques are quite small but they offer very cheap, but chic shoes and clothing. Most outfits that they sell are matching to what we usually see in Western department stores. Skimpy tops and colorful outfits are sold to women while gentlemen can find cheap but cool printed shirts and nice denim pants. For those who would consider to have ancient Chinese dresses, some boutiques sell sunrise jackets and traditional silk dresses.

If you want to have good deals, then you must learn the art of bargaining because the outlets can give you the commodities that you like for a very low prices. Other sites that you can hit are the New World Department Store and Huaihai Road Boutiques.

A Delicate Beijing Tour

I was in China the other week and since it was for a business purpose, I was not able to go around town comprehensively but I got to savor the city nevertheless through Beijing’s premiere hotel.

Beijing’s stylish and cozy International Hotel proves ideal for business travelers because it is tactically situated right at the heart of Beijing where prime business establishments, commercial districts as well as foreign embassies are a stone throw away. If practicality is what you are looking for, this is the hotel for you as it is easily nearby from the subway and railway stations and from the airport as well. In fact, the attractive Beijing town is right out there for you through this illustrious hotel. Since I was able to spare some time off all my business contacts and everything is just near, I also had the ease of going around some of the most talked-about spots in the place and most especially to its infamous shopping center where I bought souvenirs to bring back home. What I love most about this place, aside from all its comfort and the most considerate of personnels, is the excellent dining option. A heavy fusion of Asian and Western gastronomy is readily available in the deluxe Starlight resto that is also commendable for its spectacular views.

Next time I’m in Beijing, I guaranteed myself that this would even be my hotel of choice.

Chinese Food Regulation

As China's rich culture influences a lot of people as surely as countries around the world, it is noteworthy to know that even Chinese food, and the way they prepare it has been a product of their rich culture as well. The Chinese people never forget to pay respect to their callers especially during a feast. They prepare their best edible for the visitors to ensure that their guests will have a nice meal, and this kind of veneration should be paid otherwise by the visitors. The visitors should know that before they begin their meal they must wait for 'words of greeting' like 'Please enjoy yourself' because not waiting for the 'words of greeting' before eating might imply impertinence.

The chopstick is another important thing in a Chinese table, that is why it is important to know how to accurately use it expressly whenever you are in front of your Chinese hosts. To properly exercise it you must know that the upper stick must be hold as if you are holding a pencil with your middle finger and thumb, then the lower stick must be clutch with your thumb before setting it on your ring finger. Remember also not to ram your chopsticks with the chopsticks of those sitting in close proximity to you.

Behind the times Chinese Marriage Proposal

Every state has its own tradition, but every nation can be broke up into subgroups, and each subgroups have their own ways of living and thinking. In the case of Chinese citizens, some of them probably are still applying ancient traditions and some probably are not.

When it comes to behind the times Chinese habit a proposal for marriage is done in an elaborate manner. A go-between was very vital in this process because he took part as the mediator between the clans. In addition, parents of the bride-to-be and groom-to-be were the main persons for the negotiations and the possible couple has nothing to say about the preparations.

The boy's parents will indicated a girl they think would be a good wife for their son, and after they have picked a girl, they will ask the go-between to carry their gifts to the girl's parents and relatives.
When the girl's parents and relatives fixed, the go-between will keep detail of the hour and date of birth of the girl and will hand it over to the boy's parents. They will set the record in the altar within three days, and if nothing bad happens, they will send the data to an astrological expert.

If the expert found out that the horoscope of the boy and girl matched, then that is the time that the boy's hour and date of birth will be forwarded to the girls' parent to perform the same action. After the girl's family implemented the same procedure and nothing bad happens within three days, that is when both families will eventually meet in person.
